I have had this during a very stressful time. The doctors swore up and down that I was on drugs but all I had that day was cigs and Dr P. I could remember a flash of the night here or there but never could get the full memories. One t said it was a severe anxiety attack that caused my memory to go out, another t said it was my DID and an alter coming out and my primary care doc said it was because I hit my head that same night and got an inverted concussion. Who knows why it really happened. I hit my head about an hour into the episode so IDK if that was the cause. Apparently I was crawling throughout the house uncontrollably vomiting and screaming that I was going to die. I than asked someone to call 911. I was taken to the ER with oxygen and an EKG hooked up, I remember only a brief moment here and there from that night. Apparently I drove home...

It could be any number of things, my point is if you aren't seeing a doctor to discuss this with, I highly urge you to talk to one about it. It could be anxiety, it could be a dissociative issue, it could be an amnesia issue, it could be a physical problem in the brain... Memory loss in this sense really isn't something that should be toyed with. You should try to get help from a doc in finding out the core reason behind it. That way you can learn to place the missing pieces back together and learn to perhaps not lose any more time! The best of luck to you, I know this kind of thing is anything but easy!

I do have other memory loss issues as well with the DID, years taken from my memory. But the above insident was the only that I could imagine was from anxiety alone... I think that's what it was...
