I understand.
I was trapped, too. Mentally prepared to take on life alone, yet legally unable to. It's hard. But that one year in comparison to the many more you have left is minor.
And even though I still struggle, I assure you the freedom is worth the wait.
Right now you should be preparing. Do well in school, save up money (get a part-time job?), scout apartments and cars. It will make the transition easier and hopefully keep your chin up.
