I tried to ask him about it, but didn't get the chance.

Today, after telling me he loved me, he broke up with me. We were talking and he asked me if I really loved him. I said I did. He asked me if we could take a break from our relationship and just be friends. I was so shocked. He said he has a lot going on in his life and he doesn't think I'm ready for a relationship. He said he just wants to be friends and maybe later we can get back together.

I don't know what to do. I really do like him, I mean maybe even love. I don't like to use the word love so easily, but I really do think I love him. He's the first male that I've trusted since a man tried to force himself on me a few years ago.

I guess there really isn't anything for me to do.
