When I was in the hospital last time my room mate had told me she had been depressed for a while, but still went to work every day, so in her mind "wasn't that bad off". However, she tried to kill herself 2 times in 2 days. She overdosed one night on two bottles of pills, then woke up the next morning and realizing she was still alive "crawled" (while having double vision) to finish herself off by downing the rest of all the pills in her house and chasing it down with a bottle of vodka.

She said she was passing out and her phone rang, she instinctively answered the phone and it was her boss. Her boss wasn't sure what was wrong but called 911. She was in ICU for many days, had kidney failure and her heart stopped once or twice.....She's lucky to be alive. She like you didn't think she needed to go to the hospital...apparently she did.

That's the reality of suicidal thoughts....they can get out of hand very quickly.
