Anger takes a lot of energy so do something physically taxing so that your anger hasn't any fuel to fan itself with. It will die on the bud.

Unless you have a sport of choice, I would second the "take a walk" motion. Depending on your fitness level I would walk for a good hour. You'd be surprised how different you feel when you're through...you may not even remember the source of your anger.
