My younger son rang today to say he has to go on imuno-suppressant treatment for a complication from his Type 1 diabetes that is eating away his tendons & ligaments. They are putting him on cortisone too despite the fact that it killed his father & his grandmother. He is already having subcutaneous bleeds. They are going to do a 3 month trial of this treatment, but we feel sure it won't work.
