Hi All,
While it has been quiet this week, we have had 300 more tornados than we usually do by this time of year. On Sunday, as many of you may have read, we had a fire burning just a 1/2 mile from here. It was supposed to be a controlled burn, but it appeared to not be very controlled when I spotted it and reported it.
Yesterday, I battled bills and taxes. We owe $4800 in taxes for last year. It is $5400 if you want to count property taxes, which are due in May. Yikes!!! I worked for two difficult employers last year, commuting an hour and a half one way for the last one. I was so busy trying to make ends meet, taxes didn't cross my mind until recently. I guess I blocked them -- one problem at a time. Paying taxes was so much less painless, when I had a good salary.
Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment.
Sometimes we hit some tough stretches along life's highway.
Then there's Easter. I loved Easter until my whole family died -- brother, father and mother. It always reminds me they are up there, and I'm down here. I am very thankful to still have my husband, even though he keeps getting on my last nerve lately.
That's all from the Prairie for now,
EJ
