Recently I cut back on soda and stopped eating potato chips. It isn't very often that I eat fries anymore. Although I still eat pasta, I don't cook it as much - I make sure it stays firmer, for the lower glycemic index. The other thing I do is buy the higher protein versions in the grocery now. I found that replacing carbs with healthy fats makes me feel less hungry more of the time. I get the same amounts of calories, but I lose belly fat and my weight is going down, like the books promised.

At one point I got stuck. I took the advice from a book called Natural Cures by Kevin Trudeau. I hope I spelled his name right. He said that anyone who has ever taken antibiotics could benefit from getting a bottle of candida cleanse. I did it and dropped ten pounds while I was taking it. The rest of the weight kept coming off after it was done. Now I am no longer overweight, and I am just trying to get closer to my ideal weight. When I started I was obese according to the body mass index. I have lost about forty-five pounds now, and possibly closer to fifty now.

Exercise doesn't always do the trick and not all calories are created equal.

On my most recent trip to the grocery store I bought some gummy candy supplements for adults - B12 and fiber for weight loss. I have a multivitamin already, but I am considering the candy multivitamins for adults. The fiber is good for when I do indulge in soda or other high sugar / starch foods. Fiber slows down their absorption and it decreases the insulin spike. I was just reading that when insulin levels go up, the body stores fat. It is possible for blood sugar levels to drop without the insulin going away - and this is bad, because fat is still being stored and the body isn't getting enough fuel.

Walnuts are great brain food. As a vegetarian, I have added over a pound of them per week to my diet instead of fish. I get them from the baking supplies section and weigh them on my ounce scale to take to work. Recently I bought a bag of dried vegetable chips. I am going to take them to eat during breaks with the walnuts. It is amazing how satisfying they are and it keeps me away from the vending machines.
Thanks for this!
