Can you see a different Pdoc? I know Klonopin for sure has serious withdrawal symptoms (hallucinations, delusions, chills, sweats, headaches, insomnia, etc). Doesn't sound like this Pdoc is very reasonable, you would need to be on a taper program for probably over a month to get off off 2mg two times a day and that's just the Klonopin. Sorry you were treated like this. If you ever do have to go to the ER in withdrawal make sure you give them that Pdocs name.....
