I also share a sarcastic and skeptical view on the idealization of people. There have been a number of people who I have admired, sometimes even greatly, but I've always seen them as fallible and human.

My T is just a guy in his late 50's. There are things to admire about him, he knows a lot about mindfulness and he's very good at demonstrating how to do it. He is very skilled in his work with me and he works very hard to give me what I ask him for, or what I sometimes don't know I need. He's very human.
