So sorry to read you were treated so poorly .. I can also understand wanting to just quit the whole mess ...But that said ... Just stopping benzios cold turkey is definatly not something you want to go thru .. as Dijmart said above the withdrawl symptoms are horrid .

Please make calls and find a new pdoc that will understand that even if they would like to see you try to come off a certain med they will taper you down off them so you wont crash and burn.

Wish you luck in finding a more caring and professional doctor .
