my last roomate skipped out on me leaving me with his 370.00 bill.

I finally managed to contact him today and asked him where the rent money was. He tells me most of it went to dry cleaning (I doubt this) Anyways, I explained to him calmly that we had a mutual agreement when he moved in that he would pay me on a month to month lease basis.

Well he took off with a weeks notice.

He says he doesnt owe it to me because of the CAT HAIR in my apartment he had to get everything dry cleaned.

To top this all of this is one of the people that were supposed to be my friends, we got along great until he just took off..

Now, if SA doesnt pull through or EI falls through, I will potentially lose my apartment because of this.

He KNEW right before I left that Iwas having a bad time and was in and out of the hospital. HE KNEW THIS and ASSURED me that he would still pay the rent. HE TOOK ME TO A PARTY the night before he left to show his good faith.

And then he took off. Hes blocked EVERYONE of our mutual friends (he grew up with my boyfriend)

Is there anything I can do? Im screwed arent I.
