Just mention to Dad that you don't know if HE'S noticed it, but that Grandma is "failing." I would think that he would be grateful that you paid that much attention to notice it. It sounds like you have a pretty good relationship with Dad, so I doubt it will be very hard to tell him. He sure certainly shouldn't get mad!
As far as Grandma not following conversations, it's possible that her hearing isn't as good as it should be. When we get elderly, that seems to be one of the first things to "go" -- the hearing. I'm 62, and I dont hear as good as I used to. LOL
So don't worry about talking to Dad. I think he'll appreciate it. You're a good grandchild! God bless & take care. Hugs Lee
