good for you! & him! while it is surgery it is very routine...& they say "oh he will be mellow for a few days"...don't count on it!..boys don't usually carry on & have as much pain as the girls do.

it does take a few weeks for the hormones to level off..so don't expect an immediate change in behavior...& there will be some swelling back there that might make you think they forgot to remove some items but rest assured it will go down & he will have some empty pockets.

good for you for being a responsible pet owner!!! you are doing a good job.

it's hard leaving them at the vet's for any operation (i know i just left my guy -the one on my pix- for a tumor removal on monday) but everything should go smoothly.

the benefits far outweigh the reasons for not doing it. you want him around for ever & this is one way to help that along..trust me you don't want a dog with prostate or testicular cancer...

i'll think good thoughts for you! may his surgery go as well as my guy's did!
