Well, I was 30 and my (now) husband was 25 when we first met. I do know what you mean - I was VERY self-conscious of the age difference for the first couple of months. Maybe a year - don't remember. Not only did we have the age difference but we were at entirely different places in our lives. I was a year and a half out of a divorce and had already built a good career for myself. He was still skateboarding and bike racing and earned his living as a bike messenger. We had very little in common on paper, but our beliefs and value systems clicked immediately.
NO regrets on my part. We came together in ways that I wouldn't have been able to with someone older.
Don't let age get in the way. It evens itself out.
