I told the vet about it, but she wasn't concerned. She stretched his legs to see if there was something going on, did other quick checks.
The stairs are completely inclosed, are carpeted, and we even put a new light on the wall about 4 steps down so he would have more light.
The vet checked his eyes as well, I thought he was having a vision issue since this is a new fear he has. He is healthy.
Anxious about coming down the steps, but healthy. If I put my hand on his collar, but don't pull, he 'feels' safer and will come down with a lot of baby talk.
He doesn't go down the basement at all, which is where he used to sleep with me. Now he sleeps way upstair. (Our house is 3 levels with a completely finished basement.)
I'll keep working with him to reassure him, but it's just weird.
