My rule is to disclose anything I am ambivalent in disclosing to my pdoc and T. They can filter out what is important to discuss and what isn't. I think that psychologist can diagnose depression. The fact that yours is not in a rush to do is a good thing. Sometimes it can take time to assess a person. You might ask what his current suspicion is and how how he intends to treat you. If he cannot answer that question then I would consider that a red flag.

It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence, to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him the words: "And this, too, shall pass away." How much it expresses! How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction!
