So I come back here to bedroom, prop up on pillows, try & stay awake to watch tv. Wake up 2-3 hrs later, don't know if it's day or night time. Then don't sleep at night. This whole cycle has gotten a lot worse since June. None of that sleep hygiene stuff has ever worked for me.
Anyway just wondering if you sleep any with your episodes or take naps.
I used to nap only on a rare occasation??
Maybe for now just sleep when you can deja, IDK.

I have never been able to take naps. Not even short 20 minute naps. If I did I could not sleep at all that night. I have had that problem since I was a kid.
As an adult I started having interrupted sleep where I would sleep for about an hour and awake for about two hours. But it did not bother me during the day.
Over the past year or so that changed to getting about 5 to 10 to 15 hours a week. Then I usually have a crash night where I sleep from about 10 pm to about 9 am. I talked to my PDoc about all of this and he said that I would not get well (stable) if I could not get sleep. They put me on sleep aid after sleep aid till I ended up on the combo I mentioned in the other post. This worked for about 6 months and now it seems to come in phases. I go through a period of a few weeks where I get six or so hours a night of sleep then I go into this no sleep period. I really do not get tired as a result of this. I do drag sometimes but it does not happen that often.
During my TDoc visit yesterday he told me that I need to call my PDoc today to see if she could try new meds for this. My thoughts were something in the category of wild game tranquilizers. HAHA
Good luck with this ... and definitely talk to your PDoc about this.
