I've been dealing with insomnia for the past year. I'm in college as well. My pdoc has been trying to wean me off my anti-psychotic but without them, things get worse and I can't sleep. Anyway, my pdoc told me a lot of ways to fall asleep sooner rather than using medication...

1. using mind relaxation exercises to calm your anxiety, your mind
2. stop the use of electronics at least 30 minutes before bedtime
3. do yoga
4. exercise for at least 30 minutes each day
5. warm glass of milk sometime before bedtime

To be honest, I only tried the exercise one and it did work!... until I stopped exercising because I needed more time to study.

My pdoc won't adjust any of my medications until this semester ends so I just have to stick with what I have now.

Hopefully, you find what works for you soon.
Thanks for this!
