Sorry I haven't had a chance to post here and update on my endo appt. Life has been so busy with an emergency with the client that I take care of.
Anywho, then endo has changed dosage on my oral meds and put me on insulin. She changed my metformin from 2000mg a day to 1000mg a day which seems to be much less irritating to my stomach so far. She increased my glipizide from 5mg to 10mg 2xday before breakfast and dinner. She also increased my lisinipril. I now take 20units of insulin in the a.m. and 15units before bed. I do believe that will need to be increased as it doesn't seem to be making much of a difference in my numbers. They are still too high.
I have reduced my sugar intake and am taking my oral meds as prescribed. I am making other changes to my diet especially since being on insulin can cause huge weight gain. Hopefully soon I will be able to increase my activity through walking and possibly some swimming. Right now though, with my client needing constant care because of his emergency issue, my time off will be limited.
So, all in all, I am accepting what needs to happen and I'm making it happen as best I can. I am no longer in denial and wishing it away.
I want to thank all of you for standing by me, giving me a good kick when I need it and supporting me. You all mean the world to me, old friend or new.

to all of you!
