I went to see my pdoc yesterday and she was under the impression that it was mania not a mixed episode. She decided to start me on lamictal, took me off risperdal and is having me wean off of the effexor. She thinks the effexor may be inducing mania-along with the stress I have been going through, which I was suspicious of myself. The first time I experienced euphoric mania was about 7 years ago when I started Effexor in the first place and that lasted a while before I came down. I am hoping all goes well with my med changes. I am feeling pretty good today, no anxiety or intrusive thoughts. feeling pretty clear headed. yay!
