I think some people are more aware of their environment, of the atmosphere around them, and are affected by it. Others aren't; they're just as happy eating standing up at a street corner concession as at a five-star restaurant.
Most of us in therapy, I would guess, fall in the first group. I know I do. I was unable to work with one woman simply because her office was stuffed with mementos everywhere: walls full of photos, shelves overflowing with figurines, tables full of stuffed animals, hardly enough room to sit because of the pillows. I felt suffocated. I asked to meet in another room, but she couldn't work anywhere else!
I sympathize with you, Liam Grey. It would be a difficult & sad move for me to make, were I in your place. But moving with your T gives it promise ... new memories!
