Even though the rash was confirmed, that doesn't mean the med can't work for you. There are cases where the rash was mild, and after backing down on the dose, the patient was later able to more slowly increase the dose, without triggering the rash. It's like there's a threshold about how bad the rash has to be before it becomes totally contraindicated to continue with the drug. If the rash was mild, and your doctor is attentive, you may be able to have a second chance.
