- are you on any medication? Do you have plans to get diagnosed to see if you actually do have bipolar?? At the top of this forum they have 'sticky posts' with helpful tips to avoid SI - some work some don't ...depends. Some find holding ice cubes over the sink helpful because it really hurts - get the same endorphins going. Self help tricks only help temporarily, so its important to address the root of the SI, which is why you need medical help. I'm not an expert nor do I have my own experience with SI, so please excuse me for not offering better advice.
If you feel in danger, please ask your mom for help or go to the nearest ER. Regarding suicidal feelings - professional help is necessary but one thing to remember is, this is NEVER an option.
