You are taking all the right steps to cope with this disorder, I can tell you being proactive and sticking to a treatment plan is really what works. I was diagnosed almost ten years ago, went to therapy, stuck to meds, Sure there were some lows included, its just part of BPD.

After the first year, I started to feel normal and really good, thats when I got off treatment. (don't do that!) So, its eight years later and I am in the same spot if not worse off.

How often do you go to therapy? Is there group therapy available to you? Just keep the dialogue between your psych, therapist and yourself honest. If somethings not working, let them know.
