I'm having some issues with stablizing my sugars. Yesterday on 2 different occasions I had lower readings (96 and 101). When my sugars get that low, I get the shakes really bad and need to eat something immediately. I know those numbers are in the normal range, but since mine have been so high for so long, I don't think my body can handle the normal range of numbers.
Anywho, the second time I had the lower reading, I ate my dinner then had some chocolate after dinner to bring the sugars up a bit. They came up to 116, not enough to stop me from shaking and feeling anxious. Then it happened, I went into a full blown anxiety attack and it lasted for hours. I'm still feeling the affects of it this morning. My brain can't function right, no patience, tingling and numbness of my extremeties and piss poor attitude to boot.
I went to bed earlier than normal and I took some lorazepam to help me sleep. Looks like I'll be taking some more this morning as I'm still not feeling right.
So, has anyone else had this kind of thing happen to them while working on getting their blood sugars back to normal but they are fluxuating still? This ain't fun folks.....not fun at all

(((Sabby))) ~ because all of this and your work and caring nature remind me so much of my mom (she is a nurse)

My mom struggles with this too sometimes. Each person is different, including the range in which they feel comfortable and at an equilibrium. Its just hard to figure out when you have to externally control/maintain parts of that balance...like blood sugar. Especially when you uniquelly see what does/doesnt affect it. It IS a learning process. I hope you are getting more support to deal with stress and hard days with your workload. With sweet treats to enjoy/bring up blood sugar too

,what my mom does is have a SMALL amount paired with a protien. For example, instead of just milk chocolate and *the rush*, try chocolate with nuts...just a suggestion. Here's another

as you continue 1 day at a time...

(and thanx for reminding me too...i do need to keep this in mind to try to take better care of me too)
