I scored a 53 on a depersionalization test, which the score falls under server depersionalization. Should I tell my counselor about this or not? I already tried to tell her the feelings of unrealness. It didn't go out so well.
I found that every time I took any tests online including the DES and the sanity score, my results changed sometimes the scores said I may have severe problems other times they tell me I have a score that points to possible problems and other times the online ones say though Im normal I may want to consider taking the results to a professional.

I took my conflicting results to my therapist and psychiatrist and thats when I found out what you find online can be misleading and only tells you how you are that moment when you take the test.

the real DES and other exams that psychiatrists give when going through the diagnostics are not done with just those tests.. when I went through actual diagnosis for dissociative disorders quite some years ago I had to take a whole mess of medical and psychological tests. that way the psychiatrist could do complete and accurate diagnosis. I also had to give him permission to get my school files, and my medical files because some dissociative disorders require ruling out other problems too, and some dissociative disorders diagnostics process involves having some history of problems.

should you show your treatment providers? thats a personal choice some choose to and other choose not to. only you can make that decision. I chose to share mine with my therapist and psychiatrist.
Thanks for this!
