sometimes it costs money sometimes it doesnt. depends on the situation ie if the psych evaluation is done by court order the court pays for it. if its done at an agency that offers them for free or low income then its free or about 20 bucks sliding scale around here where I live, some places base how much you pay on your income and other places charge full cost.
the only way to find out how much it will cost you is by contacting a treatment provider that does diagnostics and asking them.
