What you are calling an anxiety atttack almost sounds like what happens when people with weight loss surgery eat "wrong", eat something sugary, they call it "dumping", the sugar dumps directly into the bloodstream and they feel terrible until it is taken up. The numbness and tingling sounds like sugar circulating in the bloodstream - its crystal hard edges is what causes damage to the delicate internal structures of the body. You should probably use your computer as much as possible to track food grams of carbs etc and blood sugar to try to figure out what works best. A couple, three of days of strictly measured menus (I'm not saying TINY meals, i'm just saying measure what you usually eat, maybe clean it up a little!) will give you a lot of insight into how your meds are working with your body. My problem was also taking too long of walks at first - you really have to work up to it. Several short walks (or whatver exercise) are much better than one long one. We're getting there, I can see you're trying!

Thanks for all the great information. I'm sorry I wasn't able to respond sooner, but I wanted you to know that I really appreciate what you said. I will try doing what you suggest. I'm interested to see how it goes too! I've had a couple more problems with my sugars dropping but have not gone into the anxiety issue again, thank goodness. Another friend suggested eating a couple of graham crackers when the sugars take a dive, and I did get some. Eating them did help and I didn't have the huge spike in numbers like the chocolate gave me. Live and learn eh?

I'll let you know how I make out with tracking stuff, as soon as I can make a schedule that I can stick to fairly regularly to do this. I know I know, it's my health and I have to take responsibility for it....I'm working on, really I am. This is new to me

Thanks hankster!
