Jitters is right. Anxiety impacting your life that much is in desperate need of medication. Contact a doc immediately.
I suffer from severe anxiety. It keeps me very isolated. Im on meds for it. Ive created my safe spots. Home and my office. and my car that links the two places. I can talk to people at work because they are coming into "my space" for help. i go to the grocer as little as possible. i imagine a safety bubble around me when i go in the store and i always buy the same things, i know just where they are, i do not browse, im in and out in a flash. sometimes when i step out of my apt, i feel the whole world sucking in on me in one big whoosh. sometimes i cant leave.
i have been working on it with pdoc with some real success but i wont tell you what we have been doing because it could frighten you where you are at now. but defintely, get in to see a doctor, your GP, have him/her refer you to a psychiatrist and a good therapist.
