I can understand that, when I had a doctor see some of my SI he totally dismissed me. Instead of believing I was telling the truth about why I came in and instead thought I was only there because I wanted atention. It's crap how they can treat you because of it. Are you able to change doctors?

And that isn't necessarily true about being admitted. Just because you SI on your wrist does not mean that you will automatically be admitted. They'll ask you if you are suicidal and if you tell them no they won't admit you. Sometimes inpatient will be suggested but you won't be involuntarily admitted. I know that is how it was for me, and from every other person I've talked to about it.
