And for those of you seeing a therapist--does it help? What goes on during a therapy session?

I was diagnosed about 6 months ago. I see my psychiatrist every 2-4 weeks as we are still working on the right med combo. (I just quit nursing my son, so that really hindered us in finding the right meds because there were only a select few that were safe while nursing) With that being said, last night I started a new med...

I have only seen my therapist one time due to transportation issues. (My husband and I share a car) So I haven't seen her in a few months, my next appointment is next week.

I think every therapist is different in the way that they do things, and from what I've heard, you really need to find one that you like. My therapist opened my eyes to some things that I never really thought about in that one appointment, so that was good. I would really recommend therapy to anyone. They can really help you.
Sorry to hear about your financial difficulties and your daughter being ill. Thoughts and prayers going your way!
