That's really fascinating. Thanks for sharing!

I suppose the seizure-like quality of the "rages" would make sense given that many people with bipolar respond well to anticonvulsants. A bipolar girlfriend of mine once explained that her mood episodes feel like little seizures (emotionally/mentally but not physically) so she thought it quite sensible that Lamictal made an enormous difference for her.
