I've been on Wellbutrin for about 6 months or so. My psychiatrist and therapist said after about 2.5 to 3 months that there was a change in my mood. I don't see it, but they seem to. But then again, I can't tell when I'm manic or depressed either. So yeah, it took a while longer than what is typical.
