I have this too, though not neccesarily with psych hospitalization (which hasn't happened for me yet). But I've been in the hospital for a number of physical health problems, which has made the hospital feel like a safe place for me. I remember my cardiologist telling me I might need open-heart surgery about a year ago, and my first reaction was thinking, "yes, that will be a few weeks in the hospital then! "

So yeah, you're not alone in this.
