That's bad, it happens like that sometimes. Is it safe for you to stay at work? only you know. But it's better to be in a safe place when a searing depression hits so fast.

If you remain at work, try to take a break & clear your head. Do you have a set of coping skills to use? Deep breathing? Meditation? Breathing is easy. Just sit some fairly open & quiet if possible. Slow your breathing. Envision a favorite place. Or a candle flame. An all-white room or landscape. Explore the vision. Steady your breathing. Sometimes a few minutes of this can help you get back to yourself & stay in the present. Staying in the present--second to second--is a great depression fighter. & no side effects.
