Wow, that's a crazy long time to have to wait. My t, when I first started seeing him, was kind of erratic in appts. Every week, every other week, back to every week, yadda yadda. Finally he has started to get me a standing appt in the coveted 1:00 time slot (it's the best time for me traffic-wise).
