I would not be concerned but I would want to try to interact more with the outside as one's head is only so large? You can only go inside and have yourself; outside is larger and has more to offer and "feeds" your inside. Cutting off the inside makes what is there less and less whole, healthy, and pleasant over time (my experience).

I think transferring and moving is very stressful and turning to what you know, your own little world is comforting but I think learning to operate in the larger world would be more productive in the long run?

I got my second undergraduate degree between the ages of 50 and 57 but I did most of my work online and at a college where everyone was older. Maybe you could take a few courses online so you would not have as much stress as being so immersed in the world around you for so long each day?
