I think before you pursue a relationship, you need learn how to love yourself.

When you go into relationships w/a lack of self-confidence it can be trying on your partner.

I also think there are plenty of people who haven't done any of the things you've listed so far. I have a few friends like that and they are not worthless! They are amazing men and women who choose to wait because they have other focal points in their lives that they want to manage. They also love themselves. How you feel yourself will reflect on the relationship.
