Hi again, and again thanks for your words of wisdom. I have now had my granddaughter 4 times since I last posted. Wed night while her Mom and Dad were painting the new house and my G'daughter had a fever. (I had been told she had one for about 2 weeks, but only at night, and Mommy Dearest had called her Doc who said "its going around" and the baby was never taken to Doc. I talked to d-in-law the night I had her, and told her I was concerned about her NOT taking the baby to the Doc - she HAS insurance and Medicaid (no idea why - they certainly shouldnt qualify for it). D-in-law said nothing was wrong with the baby. I had her again THurs night, same situation - and she DID have a fever, was coughing alot . (She had surgery at 7 weeks of age due to a problem with her trachea - so she should be seen when she starts coughing and rattling). Again, she did not see Doc. I had her from early Sat AM, to late Sun. PM. I called her Mom and Dad who were in a wedding out of town, and asked if I could take her to ER as she was running 102.8 temp, miserable, coughing, pulling at her ears, and had diarrhea. MOMMY Dearest said NO. I called the ER, and they said without the parents permission, I could not get her medical attention. By Sunday night, she was much sicker. Parents picked her up, realized she WAS ILL, and since they were hungry, took her with them out to eat, drove 40 miles from restaurant home, then back to ER about midnight. URI, ear infection, 2 antibiotics, and was told to see her pediatrician today because he knew about the trachea surgery and situation. MOMMY would not take her today, said it was a wasted trip since they were in ER last night. GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Son is now asking me to drop the Petition for Visitation, as his wife has been so nice and pleasant for several weeks, he doesnt want me to cause trouble for them. I cannot drop it - have to go to Court and if I WANT too - tell the Judge I want to drop it. She still knows nothing about this - son has not wanted to "tick her off", and I am getting to see the baby, so why cant I just back off...........I DONT WANT TOO - and its just not my day to make his witchy wife happy !

My best friend works in the ER as a Patient Liason, and I talked to her today - she is going to tell the ER Doc the Mom would not take the baby to her Doc today, and suggest he make a report. I HAVE to do something legal so that I can get her medical attention when her MOMMY doesnt think it is necessary and I know it is - and when I have her in my care.

I want to shake the ever loving crap outta my son ! It was 2 weeks ago today his wonderful wife told him she was going to Court to get sole custody of the baby and he would never see her again, and now he says his wife is just wonderful ! I wonder what she is feeding him to make him lose all his brain cells ! OK - if u got through all this - thanks for reading, my rant for the night is over ! ......What s a Mother ( Grandmother)
to do ????? SHould I go ahead an file the Petition for Custody and let a Judge decide if MY son and his wife are fit parents???
