Do therapists make provisions for their clients if they die?

Do they have a list of their clients and phone numbers and a designated person who will contact them and inform of the death? Do they have a letter that provides referrals for the clients?

Just wondering if therapists provide for this. There was a professor I knew once who had letters of recommendation for all the people in his group, should he die.

This is something I would never ask my T (don't want to be morbid) so it would be the sort of thing I would ask on an anonymous forum.
