hahahahaha I never thought of hitting them with a tennis racquet. I don't get many of them around here. I saw one outside the back door last month already, and usually a couple in the basement, but that's about it.

Fruit flies on the other hand, I was overrun with them last year. I got some of those hanging fly strips to help cut down the population but they weren't very useful. Spraying didn't help much either. The breed too darn fast.
