You could even say in the first session that you arent comfortable with sharing right away.
Best therapist I had ever had was a child psychologist when I was around 13. I was with her for three years. For the first year we never talked about any specifics at all, just side issues and day to day things. It took me a long long time to trust her. Eventually though I did. Now i realize my case may be a bit extreme but, you dont have to dump everything out right away
