There are many factors to moods and weather change. Some people get depressed during the winter months while others get depressed during the summer months. The fall with the trees dying and such can be a depressant for some, but for others the colors brighten their moods... October in specific is a rather difficult month every year for myself, and a few others... For other reasons but I guess it could be in the same category as others. As in... Christmas makes many people happy but say a boy grew up with parents who were treating him badly and on Christmas he was forced to eat only rice and sleep in the attic (so so so sorry if that triggered anyone, not my intent) when he gets older he's not going to be in the best mood around Christmas time much like some wont be in the best mood in October for somewhat similar reasons... But there are many other reasons for not doing well...

In general however, since many (not all) patients dx'd with DID have a history of abuse relating to a time in October, it makes it that much more difficult for them to make it through the months where everything begins to change
