I had this SAME problem. I totally know where you are coming from. I live near major universities and many of them have doctoral psychology departments that offer VERY cheap therapy to the public. I use to go there and really liked it there. Now I go to a government funded non-profit place that has Masters degree students. I pay 10.00 per visit. Calling the United Way would be a very good place to start. The non profit I go to is funded through the United Way. I am sure they could direct you to a very cheap place if you explained your situation. If you happen to go to church, many of those churches know where to send people for cheap or even have counseling of their own and you do not have to be part of that religion to get help either. They usually accept anyone and everyone. Also, if there are any in your area, check out the Catholic family services. You do not have to be catholic and they will not preach to you. They are very cheap also, usually only about 20.00 a visit. Some places may be no charge at all if you don't have a good income. don't give up ((hugs))
Thanks for this!
