I usually think my anger won't get me anywhere or I'll look stupid, or it will invite retaliation, so I generally stuff it down and just sit with it. This doesn't make it go away - it only builds. I don't take it out on anyone except myself, unless I (occasionally) have a verbal meltdown. Then I apologize, and most people say "What? Good for you! That's what assertiveness looks like." *shrug*
