What you are going through is exactly what got me into seeing a trauma therapist. Some of the things she told me too do is change things around. For example, what ever you use too SI either toss it out, which would be the best thing too do, or put it in a place that it is not usually kept. You can also wrap it up in tape, like masking tape or duct tape. The time you spend opening it up can sometimes trigger you out of the blackout. She also told me too keep a journal handy and try too journal before and after. I learned from really being aware of how I feel, depending on intensity I can tell if I am getting to a point where I may possibly blackout. For me it is a sharp head pain. I know it can be very scary when you "come out of it" and think OMG what happened. I know some people may read my response and think "just get rid of whatever you are using" but sometimes it just is not that easy. Please be safe and if you need to talk please feel free to PM me!
