Oh! This reminded me of a very silly thing. It's not at all holiday related, but it can provide a lot of fun for no cost or effort at all. When I was a kid, I would type out gibberish on a typewriter (because yeah, that's the timeframe we're talking ) and then read it aloud. O.M.G. the laughing. One person could type, the other read.
