It is hard to accept that there may be a problem that is bit too big for you to solve yourself. I am a bit of a do it yourselfer also.
From the sound of things you are possibly having a panic attack about it. It can be scary, but once you learn about it and understand what things like triggers are it gets better because knowledge gives you power and power gives you some control.
