I have Asperger's, and I skateboard. Skateboarding is very therapeutic for me when it comes to sensory issues. I love feeling the board rolling on the ground, and I love hearing the wheels hit the ground when someone (I can't do big tricks yet. lol) lands a trick. It's also a low pressure, individual sport. You can skate at your own pace, and it allows you to be social without being "social." Not to mention, the great exercise you get which is beneficial to anyone.
